The Bubba The Love Sponge Radio Show on Sirius Satellite Radio featured Little Pet Project and our spokes model Heather Clem to its massive audience resulting in a near fatal crash of our website! In two days, the Little Pet Project had 17,000 new, unique visitors, and over 100,000 page views! During this period we have heard from people from all over who want to be part of our project- many have already joined, have offered suggestions and have mostly offered a big round of "Thanks". ASPCA Mission Orange
The ASPCA (American Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals) has recently announced a new initiative, "MISSION ORANGE," which has named Tampa as one of only 6 markets in the country to be granted national support due to its desperate need. The statistics gathered by the ASPCA for 2006 in Hillsborough county reflect a staggering 69,609 pet "intakes" and of those just 8,500 were adopted, and 49,557 were euthanized due to overcrowed shelters and insufficient resources.
